On June 26, 2024, in Hanoi, C&U Vietnam Company launched the Cudidi ride-hailing app, committing to the cheapest fares on the market thanks to a solution to cut intermediary management costs.
A representative of C&U Vietnam Company said that the company developed the Cudidi ride-hailing app after about 2 years of surveying, researching and testing. "The Cudidi ride-hailing app is built on a technology platform provided by Viettel, in cooperation with banking and insurance businesses".
C&U Vietnam Company, Cudidi Taxi does not use payment methods through financial institutions but applies traditional payment methods, integrates technology and is transparent in costs. Specifically, this application does not deduct a percentage of trip revenue from drivers but benefits from second-party partners such as maintenance units, vehicle insurance, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Cu, General Director of C&U Vietnam, said that currently, ride-hailing applications are calculating trip revenue from money collected from drivers, operating costs of personnel, management infrastructure and money paid to partners providing e-wallets, payment accounts, etc.

“Drivers do not have to pay any % to Cudidi other than 10% tax paid directly to the cooperative where the vehicle is registered.
